Niclas Stiernholm, PhD
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Stiernholm's primary responsibilities at TTI include overseeing
the company's strategic direction, executing business development
plans and ensuring that the company's scientific programs continue
to advance in good time. Dr. Stiernholm joined TTI from YM BioSciences
where he acted as Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific
Officer. While there, he played a significant role in the success
of their Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2002. Dr. Stiernholm began his industry career as a member of Allelix Biopharmaceuticals' business development office. He currently serves on several scientific and corporate boards of directors, including YM BioSciences, the Ontario Genomics Institute and AIM Therapeutics. He received his Ph.D. in immunology from the University of Toronto, where he also completed his postdoctoral training.
Bob Uger, PhD
Vice President, Research and Development
Dr. Uger is responsible for developing
and implementing the scientific direction of TTI, and oversees
both internal product development and external research discovery
programs. He also acts as the company’s scientific liaison
with respect to global collaborations with academic and hospital
research scientists. Dr. Uger joined TTI from Aventis Pasteur
where he was a Senior Research Scientist involved in cancer
vaccine research. He received his Ph.D. in immunology from
the University of Toronto.
James Parsons, CA, MA
Director, Finance & Administration
Mr. Parsons is a Chartered Accountant with an extensive background in the life sciences industry. From 2003 until present he has provided CFO and consulting services to both public and private life sciences companies. From 2000 to 2003 he was Vice President Finance and Administration at Lorus Therapeutics Inc. a TSX listed company. Mr. Parsons holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo and is also a Certifed Management Accountant.
Scott Duncan, BSc
Director, Patents and Licensing
Mr. Duncan is responsible for the strategic management of TTI's
intellectual property (IP). He is also closely involved with
license negotiations. He has over 20 years of experience in patents
and licensing. He currently manages his own patent agency. Most
recently, he has held the position of Director, Patents and Licensing
at Allelix Biopharmaceuticals. He received his B.Sc. in Cell
Biology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
